These were and are my design aims developing the framework.
Rather than generate a concrete application I've gone for a modelled API approach.
This approach should provide more flexibility than a concrete application.
The intention is to be able to use the application as the foundation for a range
of applications in a range of environments.
- No third party requirements.
No databases, no external modules, just pure Java code.
- Concise Structure.
Complexity either at the database or in source code dogs systems of this nature.
One key aim was to develop a straightforward and coherent framework.
- Open Source.
The advantages of using Open Source are thoroughly discussed elsewhere.
I have included a section on my own reasons for going down the Open Source route.
